First of each month
The forum takes place on the first day of each month from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM Sydney time.
Hergemony hosts a monthly public forum for serious discussion on the current global climate, including geopolitical developments, Earth systems pressures, governance challenges, and strategic risk. The forum is designed as a calm, structured space for thoughtful exchange across disciplines and backgrounds.
The Hergemony Forum is held once per month in a fixed one-hour format intended to remain disciplined, accessible, and consistent.
The forum takes place on the first day of each month from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM Sydney time.
Each session begins with a brief framing of the topic, followed by fifty minutes of moderated discussion.
The final ten minutes are reserved for a concise closing summary of key themes, observations, and open questions.
The forum exists to encourage measured discussion on long-horizon developments affecting international stability and human futures.
The Hergemony Forum is intended as a public discussion space attached to the institute’s work. It offers a regular opportunity to reflect on major developments affecting geopolitics, global governance, Earth systems stewardship, human security, and catastrophic risk.
The aim is not rapid commentary or debate for its own sake, but a more thoughtful exchange on how institutions, systems, and long-range pressures are shaping the current global condition.
Participation is open to those with a serious interest in international affairs, public policy, research, science, humanitarian questions, environmental governance, and related fields. Individuals from outside these fields are also welcome, provided discussion remains constructive and relevant to the forum’s themes.
The forum is moderated in order to maintain clarity, seriousness, and a constructive atmosphere.
Participants are expected to engage with others respectfully, even where perspectives differ.
The forum is intended for thoughtful discussion rather than slogans, point-scoring, or campaigning.
Discussion may be guided or redirected by the moderator to preserve relevance, balance, and time discipline.
The session concludes on time. The final ten minutes are reserved for summary and closure.
The forum remains open in principle, while participation may be limited where necessary to preserve discussion quality.
The Hergemony Forum is open to anyone who wishes to join and contribute seriously to the discussion. Participation may include researchers, policy professionals, students, practitioners, and interested members of the public.
To maintain a constructive format, Hergemony may limit attendance, moderate speaking order, or adjust the format as needed. The institute reserves the right to decline or remove participation where discussion becomes disruptive or clearly inconsistent with the forum’s purpose.
Those wishing to receive the recurring meeting link may contact Hergemony directly by email.
